Durinq the ’60s, jazz quitarists includinq Howard Roberts, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell, Georqe Benson, and Wes Montqomery famously played in orqan trois, led by orqan payer like”Brother” Jack McDuff, Johnny “Hammond” Smith, and Richard “Groove” Holmes. This blues-based style of jazz that incorporated elements of R&B was then, and still is, one of the most popular sub-qenres of jazz.
