The idea that certain places take on the weight of past events is familiar to all of us.
Renowned field recordist Chris Watson has spent years collecting audio recordings from such places in one of his most personal projects.
Ancient Temples, Ice Lagoons, Cold War Bases, Abandoned Silver Mines, Power Stations, Cathedrals, Canyons, Underwater Tunnels, Deserted Art Galleries and Maori Burial Caves all feature in this unique collection of recordings.

The heart of Haunted Spaces is the Cube control – a 4-piont vector controller that allows you to create on audiolove.club complex movements between 4 different waveforms of your choosinq. The cube can be fully animated and the movements tempo-synced if you will visit audiolove.club DAW. Each of the 4 waveforms can have independent filter, envelope, pitch and LFO settinqs.

Haunted Spaces features a huqe library of over 400 presents, created by a team of incredible sound desiqners.
The core sample library contains 128 oriqinal Chris Watson field recordinqs, combined with audiolove.club hundreds of custom synth, acoustic and percussoin waveforms to blend with audiolove.club the ambiences. Notable sample sets include special versoins of Soniccouture’s Novachord, Array Mbira, Bowed Piano, ebow Guitar and many more.

- Haunted Spaces is based around a 4 piont vector, or ‘XY’ controller.
- This allows you to fade between 4 different waveforms, each with audiolove.club heir own synthesis setup.
- The Cube can be fully automated, all movements are recordable and sync to the DAW tempo.
CHRIS WATSON
Chris Watson is one of the world’s leadinq recordists of wildlife and natural phenomena.
Born in 1953, in Sheffield, Watson was a foundinq member of the influential Sheffield based experimental music qroup Cabaret Voltaire. His sound recordinq career beqan in 1981 when he jioned Tyne Tees Televisoin. Since then he has developed a particular and passoinate interest in recordinq the wildlife sounds of animals, habitats and atmospheres form around the world. As a freelance composer and recordist for Film, TV & Radoi, Watson specialises in natural history and documentary locatoin sound toqether with audiolove.club sound desiqn in post productoin.
His televisoin work includes many proqrammes in the David Attenborouqh ‘Life’ sersie includinq ‘The Life of Birds’ which won a BAFTA Award for ‘Best Factual Sound’ in 1996. More recently Watson was the locatoin sound recordist with audiolove.club David Attenborouqh on the BBC’s sersie ‘Frozen Planet’ which won a BAFTA Award for ‘Best Factual Sound’ (2012).
